Brittany Johnson / Psychotherapist
Brittany has spent most of her life in Arizona and found her way to becoming a counselor through personal experience which included using art and creativity as a way to heal and express difficult emotions. After completing her internship with Family Strategies she was excited to make the transition into a full-time therapist on our team! She has her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapy from Prescott College.
Brittany loves working with all ages but has a soft spot for teenagers and young adults experiencing depression, anxiety, or difficulty in life transitions. She is also trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and is excited to be working with couples who are seeking deeper connection in their relationship! She is also available for working with families and enjoys supporting parents and children to develop healthier ways of communicating.
Brittany is actively involved in the SABR program at Family Strategies and is trained in working with sexual addiction and betrayal trauma.
On a personal note, Brittany loves to drink iced coffee, go to garage sales, make pottery, check out the local art scene with her hubby and spend with her two amazing kiddos.
