“The willingness to show up changes us. It makes us a little better each time.” -Brene’ Brown
It’s a privilege to see the progression one experiences as they show up and commit to working through life’s difficulties. I love the opportunity of holding space for my clients as I guide them on their journey of emotional healing. It takes courage and sacrifice to move forward, and I honor those who choose to create more happiness for themselves. With an emphasis on the mind- body connection, it is my desire to help healing happen on the deepest levels. My goal as a therapist is to help strengthen teens, adults, and families by assisting them in changing dynamics and patterns that are unhealthy.
To share a little on my background, I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University, spending 20 years in the healthcare field working as a registered nurse. I am a graduate of Ottawa University, receiving a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. In addition, I’ve received training and worked as a Life Coach, a Skills for Life facilitator, and a clinical hypnotherapist.
As a therapist at Family Strategies, I am part of the Sex Addiction Betrayal Recovery (SABR) Phase I and II groups, working with those experiencing betrayal trauma. In addition, I am an EMDRIA trained EMDR therapist and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist candidate (CSAT-C).
I love spending time with my family, Hawaiian vacations, eating out for dinner (instead of cooking), baking goodies with my grandkids, and riding on the back of my husband’s motorcycle. One of my greatest joys is creating and building strong relationships with my family and friends.
