Erik Johnson is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Social Work. He completed his BS in Social Work from Brigham Young University- Idaho, and worked for two years in the field with survivors of human trafficking. Also, he interned with the Assertive Community Treatment team in Idaho Falls, where he provided addiction training and social services to those with serious and persistent mental disorders.
Erik has a special interest in helping those with sexually compulsive or addictive behaviors. He understands the need for trauma work, connection, and education in dealing with addiction and compulsion. He is excited to realize his goal of becoming an intern with Family Strategies and the Life STAR program, and is committed to providing a high level of clinical excellence in these areas.
Erik is currently serving the youth in his church, ages 12 to 17, and is involved in the scouting program. He is also involved in the Band of Brothers program, a clinical intervention for young men with sexual compulsions.
Other than therapy, Erik loves spending time and connecting with his wife and family. He also enjoys his friendships, meditating, basketball, and adventure.
