Lindsay brings over 16 years of experience working with children and adolescents as a Special Education teacher in the public school system. She has a love for the resilience, grit, and adaptability that children and adolescents have. Her training and background in child development, social-emotional learning, and early intervention help her connect with children and parents on an empathetic level. Lindsay is a firm believer in the human spirit, and its ability to heal and strengthen through adversity. She believes that showing love, kindness, and acceptance is a key element in facilitating change.
Lindsay enjoys working with all populations with a goal of helping others see their role in being their best selves. She takes a Positive Psychology approach by encouraging and teaching concepts of happiness, well being, quality of life, contentment, and making a meaningful life. She encourages her clients to make themselves, their homes, and their communities a more balanced place to exist.
Lindsay enjoys spending time with her four children and husband whenever possible. As a family, they love to attend sporting events, play outside with the dog, and escape on family vacations.
Lindsay is currently completing her Master of Arts degree in Counseling through Ottawa University with a concentration in the Treatment of Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation. She is thrilled to be joining Family Strategies and helping to play a role in building up and strengthening families.
