Change is constant and often uncertain and uncomfortable. I believe it takes a great amount of bravery and vulnerability to create and embrace change in our lives. Because of my own personal life experiences, I have a strong passion for this helping profession. It brings me great joy seeing others live up to their truest potential. I believe we all deserve to feel seen and heard as we navigate difficult phases in life. My goal is to create a safe space where together we can explore and maneuver through life’s challenges.

I am currently working on a Master’s of Arts in Counseling at Ottawa University. After completing my undergraduate program in Addiction Counseling and Psychology from Ottawa, I had the opportunity to work at a residential substance use treatment facility. I worked with individuals and their families to gain a better understanding of, cope with, and practice recovery techniques from all substance use disorders and other mental health concerns. I like to use an integrative approach to therapy and will pull from many of the evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Gestalt therapy to suit the needs of my clients.

When I am not working or “schooling”, you will find me spending time with my four teenage children, spoiling our dog, or sitting in a cold plunge. I also find great joy in all different types of music, especially when it’s live.

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.“- Maya Angelou
